Globoforce Strengthens Sales, Marketing, and Operations Teams with Executive Hires to Fuel Global Growth

Ungashick to chief marketing officer, Jim O'Dea to vice president of
operations, and Gene Gainey to vice president of corporate sales. These
additions to the leadership team strengthen the marketing, operations,

As chief marketing officer, Charlie Ungashick leads Globoforce's global
marketing strategy and communications. Reporting to Globoforce CEO Eric
Mosley, Charlie is responsible for all aspects of the company's global
marketing, including defining and executing marketing strategies, brand
management, demand generation, public relations, product marketing, and
inside sales. With more than 15 years of executive experience, he brings
a wealth of experience in product management, marketing, and sales,
including leading marketing teams through two successful IPOs. Charlie
has a rich history with enterprise software and SaaS companies, having
held leadership roles in several high-growth companies, including xkoto
(acquired by Teradata), SilverStream Software, Novell, and FileNet. He
holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and French from
Fordham University.
With more than 20 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, and
customer management in multinational environments, Jim O'Dea is
Globoforce's vice president of operations, reporting to CFO Steve
Cromwell. Jim oversees Globoforce's quality control standards,
operational efficiencies, and systems management globally. He brings his
extensive expertise in strategy development and execution, outsourced
partnerships, and systems and processes to Globoforce's multi-site,
customer-focused operations. Prior to Globoforce, Jim held leadership
roles with some of the world's leading companies, including Apple,
Gateway, and Palm®. He holds a Bachelor of
Engineering Degree from the Dublin Institute of Technology and is
currently completing his MBA.
In his role as vice president of corporate sales, Gene Gainey is
responsible for driving growth in the newly created corporate market
division of the company. Reporting to Benedetto Miele, Globoforce's vice
president of sales and services, Gene is responsible for all sales
management activities in the mid-market segment. An industry veteran
with more than 25 years of experience in HR and technology, he joins
Globoforce with deep sales and leadership knowledge. Gene most recently
held the role of senior vice president of worldwide sales at Learn.com,
where he led the company to a market leadership position and eventual
acquisition by Taleo Corporation. Gene has also held management roles
with several other high-growth companies, including Global Knowledge,
Centra software, and Zenith Data Systems, as well as sales positions at
Nynex and Dun and Bradstreet. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Accounting from North Carolina State University.
