Singer Draven Midnight Lends Effort to Fight Child Abuse
By The Hollywood Sentinel
While the existence of prostitution has been acknowledged as an age-old problem, a new epidemic is the recent explosion of juvenile prostitution and its abuse and exploitation of youth in the United States, reminds a singer named Draven Midnight. Each year thousands of children run away from home, are forced out of their homes, or are simply abducted by their parents or guardians.
The National Incidence Studies of Missing, Abducted, Runaway, and Thrownaway Children (NISMART), conducted by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), estimates that in 1999 more than 1,680,000 children had runaway or thrown away episodes.
Missing Children. Some run away to escape abuse.

Some of these children leave home to escape physical or sexual abuse or neglect. Unfortunately, many end up on the streets. Without legitimate means of support and a safe place to stay, they are often victimized again through pornography sexual exploitation, and drugs.
Raised in East San Diego, California, right next to a growing neo - nazi gang population where crystal meth was the poison of choice, musician Draven Midnight fled a difficult environment and settled in Los Angeles. One of his noble goals is not only creating music, but to help, in his words, "make people realize that they have a spirit" and "to be a force of good for the world."
One part of that plan was the joining of forces with The Hollywood Sentinel to help spread the word about the problem of child abduction and abuse, and of one group that is doing something to help stop it, named Missing Kids. In an environment where many musicians abuse drugs, and many target sexual messages to young kids, this is hardly any ordinary rock and roller!
