Lexia Learning's Dr. Elizabeth Crawford to Deliver Keynote Presentation at West Virginia Reading Association Conference
BOSTON - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Dr. Elizabeth Crawford, Director of Educational Research and Design for Lexia
Learning, will be the keynote presenter at the 56th
annual West Virginia Reading Association Conference on November 18,
2011, at 10:30 AM at the Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, W. Va.
A researcher, educator and nationally recognized expert on Response to
Intervention, Dr. Crawford was formerly the Director of Interventions at
the Florida Center for Reading Research, one of the most respected
authorities on reading education in the United States. She has presented
to thousands of educators across the country, including sessions at the
ASCD national conference, the CORE Annual Leadership Summit, and the
Minnesota Elementary School Principals Association annual conference.
Dr. Crawford leads the instructional design of Lexia
Reading, a technology-based reading program, and is the principal
architect of Lexia's unique Assessment Without Testing technology.
Dr. Crawford's keynote presentation, titled "The Relentless Pursuit of
Reading Success for Every Child," will give conference participants
in-depth knowledge of the most current research on Response to
Intervention, effective instruction, and intervention strategies, proven
successful in helping all students develop foundational reading skills.
Throughout the state of West Virginia, schools in Clay, Ritchie, Brooke,
Hancock, McDowell and Tyler counties are benefiting from Lexia Reading's
