DESTIN & FORT WALTON BEACH & OKALOOSA ISLAND, Fla. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Northwest Florida's Emerald Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau officially announces the launch of the national 'Boast the Coast' campaign to thank visitors for returning to Northwest Florida's upper Gulf coast in record numbers during the 2011 season. A multi-city interactive Emerald Coast RV tour will make stops at area malls, events and attractions giving away prizes from destination stays and BCS Bowl Game tickets to Super Bowl tickets and two Bourget motorcycles* (http://www.emeraldcoastfl.com).

"We're thrilled to reveal the first phase of the campaign as we set out across the country to thank visitors who consider the Emerald Coast their second home," says Emerald Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau President and CEO Mark Bellinger. "This is our way to show appreciation to the many families that continue to return to the Destin, Fort Walton Beach and Okaloosa Island beaches year after year."

To kick off the campaign trail, the Emerald Coast RV makes its first stop in Houston on Wednesday, Nov. 16, followed by Dallas on Friday, Nov. 18. While in the Lone Star State, the RV will visit Katy Mills Mall in Houston, as well as the Stockyards Championship Rodeo, North East Mall and Grapevine Mall in Dallas, blasting the best beach music, engaging locals in games, giveaways and more.

Future stops will include Atlanta, Knoxville, Nashville, Memphis, Louisville, Cincinnati and Indianapolis. To find out where the Emerald Coast RV will be stopping next, trail tracking is available online at facebook.com/floridasemeraldcoast. On-site giveaways will be featured at each stop; from destination diversions from area partners to Emerald Coast branded merchandise. For those who can't make it to an RV tour stop, Emerald Coast fanatics are eligible to win prizes by registering online at facebook.com/floridasemeraldcoast.

Unpretentious, breathtakingly-beautiful and named the "No. 1 Beach Town in the South" for 14 consecutive years by the readers of Southern Living, Northwest Florida's Emerald Coast is famous for 24 miles of sugar-white sands and emerald-green waters. Year-round, vacationers indulge in simple pleasures -- from the "World's Luckiest Fishing Village" and spirited beachside celebrations to challenging holes of golf and 13,000 affordable, Gulf-edged accommodations.
