Beloved Tenor Andrea Bocelli Set for National TV Appearances in Support of Andrea Bocelli Concerto: One Night in Central Park

NEW YORK, Nov. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The internationally acclaimed tenor Andrea Bocelli is making several high profile TV appearances in support of his forthcoming CD/DVD Andrea Bocelli Concerto: One Night in Central Park available November 15th on Sugar/Decca. Last night Bocelli was accompanied by trumpeter Chris Botti for a special performance of "More" on Dancing with the Stars which received a standing ovation from judges and audience members alike. Andrea Bocelli Concerto: One Night in Central Park will receive its broadcast premiere on December 2nd at 9PM (also check local listings) as a Great Performances special airing as part of the PBS Arts Fall Festival. Bocelli has a long history with the Great Performances brand, spanning past memorable programs such as A Night In Tuscany, Under The Desert Sky and My Christmas among others.

Andrea Bocelli Concerto: One Night in Central Park includes some of his finest performances to date from both the worlds of classical and pop he so successfully straddles unlike any other artist. Additional performers include The New York Philharmonic, under the direction of musical director Alan Gilbert, with special guests Celine Dion, Tony Bennett, Bryn Terfel, Chris Botti, David Foster, Andrea Griminelli, Nicola Benedetti, Anna Maria Martinez and Pretty Yende.
