"Captain Lazy Eye for iPad" - Recommended by Ophthalmologist
TAIPEI, Taiwan - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Parents with children suffering from amblyopia often experience problems
with kids refusing to do vision correction exercises, so much so that
the parents start to feel powerless to help their children improve their
vision. Correction of amblyopia usually involves repetitive coordinative
exercise, such as navigating a maze on paper, drawing lines on paper,
etc. The tediousness of these exercises is the greatest challenge in
producing improvements in amblyopic children.
For this reason, the software developer, IdeaBus Inc., recruited the
help of former Ophthalmology department director of both Chungua
Christian Hospital and Chungshan Medical University in Taiwan, Dr.
Sharon Chuang. With her career-spanning experience in successfully
treating amblyopic children, IdeaBus created the first ever amblyopia
and vision correctional assistance software "Captain Lazy Eye" on iPad.

Captain Lazy Eye turns correctional training into fun games wrapped in a
welcoming Pirate theme, enticing children to patch their eyes like
pirates and conduct necessary occlusion exercises in order to achieve
training goals. It transforms what used to be dreary eyeball exercises
into fun and interactive games they can learn from, while the
adventurous pirate stories turn the occlusion into a welcoming part of
role-play.
The App is even able to record the children's training status and
results on a graph which enables parents to immediately find out how
their children are doing, while also allowing the physician to have an
accurate training log for reference during regular clinical visits.
