The primary elections for Fort Bend County will be held March 6, 2012. This day will reveal the results for the position of Fort Bend County Sheriff. Candidate John Minchew has stated that he will provide progressive leadership with common sense. He will serve using his personal police experience as both a civilian and a former soldier of the United States Army. He also offers a strong background in business management, which he will use to make the most informed decisions concerning the use of tax dollars.
2012 Election for Fort Bend County Sheriff
As local citizens have experienced, the current state of the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office is operated by good ole boy, slap on the back politics. There is more time spent getting around the law than obeying it. Tax money is spent for personal gain, while power of position is misused and abused. Even the task force against drugs has been used for dirty deeds. They have improperly searched and seized houses which violates the 4th Amendment to the United States Constitution. Sheriff candidate John Minchew wants to move away from this corrupt scenario and help Fort Bend County move forward with strong support for Sheriff's office employees and proper use of tax dollars.
