CarePoint Partners Kicks Off Annual "Toys for Tots" Holiday Campaign

CINCINNATI, Oct. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- CarePoint Partners treats thousands of patients in the comfort of their homes every day, administering various IV medications so that these patients - many children - do not have to go back to the hospital. Since so many of the patients are children, shortly after the company was established, they decided that being part of Toy for Tots was a great way to partner with people in the communities they serve to deliver joy to children at the holidays.

CEO of CarePoint Partners, Dana Soper, explained that the primary goal of the US Marine Toys for Tots program is to deliver a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters by giving them a Christmas present they may otherwise not receive. "Like the Marines, we too think there is no greater cause than to help kids," she said.

Last year, CarePoint had 16 sites that served as drop-off points, but with the company's continued rapid growth, it now boasts 26 locations that will accept toy donations. The sites are located in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas and West Virginia. Only new, unwrapped toys can be donated. The Toys for Tots drive lasts until mid-December when the toys will then be delivered to children with the assistance of local social welfare agencies, church groups, and other community agencies. "While we can help collect for the toy drive, the ultimate success depends on the support of the local community and the generosity of the people who donate toys," says Soper. "We ask all of those in the communities we serve to join us in spreading joy this holiday season by donating a toy."
