Miles Franklin Ltd. Hires Andrew Hoffman as Marketing Director

Miles Franklin Ltd., one of America's largest precious metal bullion dealers, announces the hiring of Andrew C. ("Andy") Hoffman, CFA, as marketing director. Hoffman, known industry-wide under the moniker "Ranting Andy," has 10 years experience in the precious metals market, writing a well-known blog and working as an investor relations officer and consultant for more than two dozen mining companies.

Most recently, Hoffman served as managing director of San Diego Torrey Hills Capital, a leading provider of investor relations services to precious metal mining companies and, before that, vice president, investor relations for EXMIN Resources and Geovic Mining, junior mining companies seeking to develop projects in Mexico and Cameroon, respectively. Before working in the mining sector, Hoffman spent seven years as a sell-side analyst covering oilfield service companies, including six as part of an Institutional Investor-ranked team at Salomon Smith Barney in New York.
