Bacon Sandwich Mania Definitely Sounds Amazing!

Thanks to this really old guy named John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich, an 18th-century English aristocrat. He is known for creating the sandwich. Today it's been morphed into many delicious versions. As we peruse the list of sandwich items on the menu at a restaurant, we often times have a hard time deciding, until we see the one with bacon in it. We exclaim, "Ooh, but that one has bacon in it! I want that!" We all know that bacon is awesome.

I like a lot of bacon. So I decided to make the Ultimate Bacon Sandwich using sixty slices of delicious bacon. Yes, you read that correctly: sixty slices. It took me about two hours to make it and it was worth it. I encourage sharing this Baconator with friends. It's not something you can get into your mouth all in one bite but it was fun trying. After making this ridiculously large and delicious sandwich, I had to know what other concoctions were out there. We all know of bacon's sandwich buddy, the notorious BLT. But have you heard of the P.B. and Bacon?

You know a guy that likes to create a sandwich with bread, ketchup and potato chips? Yeah, that guy. I think he also wears socks with sandals. Well, people like him are fearless inventors of the sandwich world. They like to think outside the box and create sandwiches other people would not.

I searched for some of these sandwich innovators and wanted to hear what crazy bacon sandwiches they were inventing. Some sounded awfully intriguing. Others, well I think they may have had one too many Bacontinis when they created their sandwiches because they just sounded awful. I only listed the ones I thought I could bear. Now that I've created that visual, let's go ahead with the strange bacon sandwich list:

First, there's the bacon and egg salad sandwich. Not exactly something you will find on the menu at a Jewish deli. But it's still a unique twist on the usual bacon and eggs. How about a bacon and tuna sandwich? It's just like your typical tuna salad sandwich, but you add bacon. People add avocado to their tuna salad sandwiches, so why not add bacon? Bacon plays well with others. How about a grilled cheese, bacon and pear sandwich?

As I mentioned before, there is the peanut butter and bacon sandwich. Combine creamy peanut butter and bacon together on a sandwich? Well, if I had a choice between bacon and jelly, I'd choose bacon. There are also a few other versions of the P.B. and Bacon. There is the peanut butter, apple, and bacon sandwich. And then, Elvis's favorite: the peanut butter, banana, and bacon sandwich. But if you want to get stranger, there's the liver, onions, bacon, and cranberry sauce sandwich; the bacon, pickles, and pear sandwich; and the bacon, hummus, cucumber, and feta sandwich. Here at Bacon Today we have taken Bacon Freak's bacon skillet spread and created a sandwich of our own. On a baguette roll; combine bacon skillet spread, apple cinnamon bacon, melted brie cheese, and caramelized onions. I implore you to try these babies out for yourself.

No matter how it's compiled, partnered, or grouped, bacon is just plain awesome. Create your own behemoth bacon sandwich and be amongst the awesome. It's better on this side, we have bacon.
