RPP Nepal Leader Welcomed By Nationalists In New York
Never in New York Nepali Community event witnessed such a big crowd as in the interaction program organized for the Nationalist Nepali Leader Kamal Thapa, Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal. This is a clear reflection of Nepal's internal politics. This is a clear indication that Nepali politics now revolves in-between two distinct ideologies, the first one is carried-out by the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoists) and the second one is strongly adhered by the Nationalist Democrats under the leadership of RPP Nepal.
The audience gathered to listen to RPP Nepal leader viewed there is no such leader like Mr. Kamal Thapa who has a power to convince the audience with his very clear views on Nepali politics, culture, economy, religion and on different aspects of politico-social aspects. His convincing power with his energetic and forceful speech mesmerized the audience. Kamal Thapa's stand on the Monarch,y viewing it as an only viable institution to unite the people of Nepal scattered in different caste and creeds within the different topographical locations have been highly commended by the audience.
Audience gathered to listen to RPP Nepal leader openly said they are Monarchists and Nationalists and said they feel proud to welcome a Patriotic leader Kamal Thapa in New York. Welcoming him, Sher Bahadur Gadtaula, expressed his happiness to have Nationalist Leader Kamal Thapa amidst the Nepali community. Chaired by Dr. Â Kamal Pande the event was attended by New York City Comtroller Mr. John C. Liu who in his brief statement praised the activities of Nepali community and extended his sincere welcome to Leader Kamal Thapa in New York City.
The interaction program hosted by Mahesh Sharma and coordinated by Ang Kami Sherpa with the support of efficient and experienced team was also addressed by Jangbu Sherpa, Meena Shrestha and few others have raised the questions to the Chief Guest of the interaction program, Nepali Nationalist Leader Kamal Thapa. During the interaction, a few questions on federalism, monarchy, religion, youths, employment, culture, caste and creeds have been raised. On each and every question, RPP Leader Kamal Thapa responded very well.
During his course of speech Leader Kamal Thapa admired the Nepali people living outside of Nepal for the role they played to change the political set up of Nepal beginning from 1951 for the cause of democracy in Nepal. He asked them to play the positive role to bring the wrongly charted path in a right track followed by the 12 points agreement. Leader Kamal Thapa forcefully and convincingly put his arguments and pleaded Nepali people living outside of Nepal to extend him their support to defend the existence of Nepal as an Independent and sovereign nation.
