Iranian Plot To Kill Saudi Arabian Ambassador? Don't Believe The Hype
By Robert Paul Reyes
"The Obama administration on Wednesday sought to reconcile what it said was solid evidence of an Iranian plot to murder Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the United States with a wave of puzzlement and skepticism from some foreign leaders and outside experts." -New York Times/Eric Shmitt and Scott Shane
Nobel Peace Prize winner Barack Obama is as much a man of peace as the late Nobel Peace Prize recipient Yasser Arafat. Obama ran for president in 2008 as the peace candidate, he promised to bring our troops home from Iraq. Under the Obama administration we still have thousands of troops in Iraq, and the president's troop surge has increased our presence in Afghanistan by tens of thousands. Not to mention that commander-in-chief Obama has us entangled in military misadventures in Libya, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, and God only knows where else.
Now it seems that man of peace Obama is seeking an excuse to take military action against Iran. We must not accept at face value the Obama regime's assertion that the amateur plot to assassinate Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the United States was sanctioned by the upper levels of Iran's government.
The elite Quds force may be a ruthless and vehemently anti-American, but they aren't bunglers. They have carried out terrorist attacks against Israeli targets, with military precision, in Argentina and other countries. The characters involved in the plot to kill the Saudi ambassador resembled the Keystone Kops.
Terrorism experts, foreign leaders, and Americans with a modicum of commonsense are skeptical of the American administration's claim that Iran's leaders were aware of the plot.
Our illegal, immoral, and unethical occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan are morally and financially bankrupting our once great democracy. The last thing we need is to go to war against a nation that may already have nuclear weapons.
I can only hope that Congress and the media share my skepticism, where's the proof Obama?
