First Class Pakistani Cricketer 'Nauman Habib' Found Dead in Peshawar

LAHORE: First class Pakistani cricketer Nauman Habib has been killed in Peshawar. He was kidnapped three days ago and police have been investigating the case. According to police, his body was recovered from the Hayatabad area of Peshawar.

Habib was 32 years old and was known for his T20 debut at the national T20 Cup this year and finished with nine wickets in just three matches for the Peshawar Panthers. He claimed four wickets in a match in the tournament against Islamabad Leopards.

Habib played for the Peshawar Panthers in the recently-concluded T20 Cup held in Karachi before representing the team in the first round of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy against Multan that finished on October 9.

During his career Habib played 63 first class matches and claimed 221 wickets.

Habib went missing after the match where he took seven wickets in the two innings with Peshawar prevailing by an innings and 11 runs.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has expressed its condolence on Habib's demise.
