Breaking: Indian Court Stays Execution of Pak Terrorist Ajmal Kasab

New Delhi: The Indian Supreme Court on Monday stayed the execution of Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab, who was convicted for the 26/11 Mumbai terror blasts.
The apex court here has issued a notice to Maharashtra government on Kasab's plea.
On November 26, 2008, during the series of ten coordinated attacks in Mumbai, 166 people were killed. The attacks lasted for three days.
Ajmal Kasab was captured alive, and all the others involved in the attack were killed. Kassab told investigators the attacks were carried out by members of Lashkar-e-Taiba, the Pakistan-based militant organisation.
The US, UN, UK, India, Pakistan all consider LeT a terrorist organization.
Ajmal Kasab was sentenced to death on five counts on 6 May 2010. Pakistani Information Minister Sherry Rehman officially accepted Ajmal Kasab's nationality is Pakistani.
