Santa Cruz, CA, October 05, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Over 500 Life Scientists Registered

The Virtual Job Summit hosted by Bio Careers (www.biocareers.com) opened today with more than 500 graduate level life scientists registered for the event. All of the recruits hold degrees from Medical/Graduate Schools ranked among the top 15%. At the Summit, they will have the opportunity to meet top U.S. and international employers like MedImmune, St. Jude, City of Hope, and Domain Therapeutics. They will also network online and attend talks on careers and job search.

Bio Careers is the leading online career service for graduate level life scientists, serving 40 of the top 55 Graduate Schools and training institutions in the U.S. The company offers a variety of ways for employers to recruit from this talented community, including the industry leading job board, webinars and the Virtual Job Summit. The online summit enables employers to meet, converse with and interview alumni and degree candidates - without leaving their office.

“We are excited about the event because it will allow employers to participate in a remarkable job fair without the time or expense of traveling to a physical location,” President Nick Folger said. “Each employer will receive their own ‘virtual booth,' which they can fill with a variety of information, such as white papers, brochures and videos.”

“Employers will have two looks at candidates—during event ‘office hours' and in follow-up interviews—to assess their skills and culture fit before investing in bringing them in for interviews,” Folger said.

Here is a timeline for the event:

On October 5th and 6th, employers will video chat with interested jobseekers at their booth.

Later in October, employers will conduct video interviews and receive a report of everyone who visited their booth.

Registration for the Virtual Job Summit is currently open. For more information, call (877) 862-4656, Ext. 102 or email jobsummit@biocareers.com.

Established in 2006, Bio Careers gives employers a time-saving, cost-effective way to recruit the nation's leading life scientists. It is the only online career service that caters exclusively to Postgraduates and MDs, and it is the only such service that directly assists training institutions. 40 of the country's top 55 training centers are institutional members of Bio Careers.
