President Obama Jokes About Meeting Pop Tart Lady Gaga

"President Obama joked last night about his meeting with the flamboyant singer Lady Gaga during a speech to a gay rights group.

Speaking to the Human Rights Campaign, Obama said: 'I appreciate the chance to join you tonight. I also took a trip out to California last week, where I held some productive bilateral talks with your leader, Lady Gaga.'" USAToday.Com

President Obama's joke is offensive, it plays into the stereotype that gays are frivolous souls who worship a dingbat like Lady Gaga. Most gays do not belong to Lady Gaga's army of sycophants, otherwise known as monsters.

As a pop culture critic I have written many essays condemning Lady Gaga's theft of Madonna's persona and music, and I have received many emails from homosexuals who share my distaste of the buffoonish performer.

The Human Rights Campaign is the largest LGBT advocacy and lobbying organization in the United States. Members of the HRC are dedicated to the noble cause of human rights for everybody, and I doubt that these professionals appreciated Obama's joke.

Note to Obama: Lady Gaga is a joke and so is your explanation for being against same-sex marriage. Dude, you have a lot of evolving to do.
