Fujitsu Supports Laguna Hills High School Technology Center With Laptop Donation

"Fujitsu has a long history of working with schools to advance technology standards and availability of the latest hardware," said Vic Herring, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc. "Laguna Hills High School faced a crisis in their technology budget and we realized our participation would make a significant impact. We were happy to contribute."

The California State Budget Crisis has had a dramatic impact state-wide, with Laguna Hills High School facing the prospect of having no funding to update their out-dated and inefficient terminals in their Technology Center. Serving more than 1750 students, the Technology Center is counted on to complete projects and perform research, meaning the proper function of the computers in the center is a priority. The need had become more crucial since LHHS is working to become truly paperless, with students relying on the Technology Center to access assignments, notes, quizzes, grades and other valuable resources their teachers now provide online. Adding to the challenge, nearly 23% of LHHS students do not have functioning computers or internet access at home and are therefore reliant on the Technology Center.

The Laguna Hills High School Hawk Technology Trust is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded to overcome the budget reduction for the school's technology department.
