Loosely based on one of Australia's most treasured musicals, BRAND NEW DAY is a charming music-driven romantic comedy in the tradition of Mamma Mia! and "Glee." This foot-stomping tour-de-force centering on the romantic adventures of a young couple set against the spectacularly beautiful Australian landscape follows Aboriginal teenager Willie, as he runs away from boarding school back to his home town of Broome to reunite with his girlfriend Rosie. During his adventure, he encounters 'Uncle' Tadpole-a benevolent but crazy drunkard-and a couple of traveling hippies as he maneuvers across country trying to outrun his boarding school's headmaster Father Benedictus (Rush) who is closing in on his tail. As Willie gets closer and closer to home he learns about friendship, family, and love in a film that literally burst with unbridled energy and fun.
