National Hamburger Festival A Huge Success
By Robert Paul Reyes
"The National Hamburger Festival in Akron, Ohio, was the place to be this weekend to get a taste of a deep-fried cheeseburger, event officials said." - UPI
All anyone has to do to put me into a trance is utter the magical phrase "deep-fried cheeseburger." Those marvelous words conjure up memories of good food and good fun. You can have your manna and filet mignon, give me a juicy and greasy cheeseburger and I'm in 7th heaven.
There was a "bobbing for burgers" attraction at the National Hamburger Festival, an event where folks bob for burgers in a kiddie pool filled with ketchup. I'd rather bob for burgers than pan for gold in a river that contains more gold than Fort Knox.
You may gain a few pounds if you attend the National Hamburger Festival, but you only live once!
