Time Comes for Israel to Turn Out Lights in Gaza

By     get stories by email

In Judaism there is a rule that says, the one who comes to kill you, kill him first. This is a moral rule, its meaning is self defense. A person is allowed to defend himself and save his life at the expense of the life of a man risking it.

From this rule we can learn that one must not wait until the last minute, when it become obvious that someone is about to kill in order to defend oneself, but one can take the initiative and go ahead with a "preemptive strike" when it is easier to hurt the endangering party. According to Jewish learning sources this rule applies the same, whether an individual attacks or an entire nation attacks.

The source of this expression is the Midrash, the interpreting of biblical stories, when the God commanded Moses for the Midianites: "Gather the Midianites and smite them" (Numbers 25:17) - because they hate you and persisting to restrict you. Hence the sages interpretation: "If one comes to kill you - kill him first."

I do not know if it makes anyone as angry as it makes me to hear that innocent Israelis being killed while they leisurely travel on their country roads and to hear that rockets are constantly launched on Israeli towns and communities.
Time to call it enough is enough. No country will ever tolerate such permanent threat to its citizens' lives and its security from a terrorist enclave named Gaza.

After their brethrens have attacked innocent Israelis, the Palestinian Authority (PA) had the audacity, which is endless, to warn Israel to act 'responsibly'. I would like to ask the PA what one will consider a responsible act to an irresponsible and vicious ongoing terror attacks?

For years the Gazan militant-terrorists, under Hamas rule and command, have been indiscriminately launching rockets and missiles into Israel and all Israel has done in return is defend herself. Israel has also developed the Iron Dome system, designed to intercept short-range rockets, as an additional defense device, which, statistically is about 75% accurate.
However, enemies must be destroyed not toyed with, using make believe retaliation methods. It is either them or it is you and the way Israel behaves, it is them!

Now, there is a call from the National Union (Ichud Leumi) Party Knesset members saying, enough defense, end Hamas. These Knesset Members called on the government of Israel to take dramatic action in response to the Hamas terrorist organization resumed hostilities and subsequent murderous rocket attacks. They claim that the Iron Dome is not and cannot be the answer.

The answer has to be taking out all the heads of Hamas, from Ismail Haniyeh and Khaled Mashaal on down. Or, one conclusion from the recent events must lead Israel to reoccupy Gaza.

Otherwise, Israel will remain captive in the hands of terrorist gangs, who will make her pay a high price in blood every so often. These Knesset Members warned their government against being satisfied with a "ceasefire," which is hudna in Arabic, meaning a temporary "truce" or "calm" in order for the Hamas and his tentacles to regroup and rearm. Like the "ceasefire," Hamas declared after Operation Cast Lead, which was the Moslems' lip service they call taqiyya, meaning a lie, while the gangs of murderers kept on launching hundreds of rockets at Israel, almost daily.

Defensive measures are for cowards and politically correct bureaucrats. They only defer an inevitable battle with a vile, hostile, and persistent enemy, such as Hamas. The best defense for Israel is a strong offense. Israel needs to take these gangs of murderers out before they kill [many] more Jews.

What is sad, but rather fascinating, is that Israel provides the Gaza strip with services and goods. No country would tolerate endless attacks against it without putting an end to it, real end. Yet, Israel providing the vital basic services to the same attackers is sheer lunacy! No wonder the Arab-"Palestinians" think the Israelis are stupid and can be manipulated; they are, in fact, dumb for conspiring with their own worst enemy.

Not declaring a war against Hamas only emboldens the terrorists that they can get away with more murders and attacks, with hardly any really painful consequences.

And now, all that Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, can sputter is that this endangers the "peace process"?! When will the leadership of Israel be able to finally admit and tell the entire world: there was never a so called "peace process" NEVER!

Israel must come to realization that this is no way to exist.
It is time to implement a long term solution that will totally free Israel from any and all danger coming at her from the Gaza Strip and now also the Sinai Peninsula.
Can I change that? No!

But what we can do for Israel is to heighten the worldwide awareness. It will take ALL Jews and all of Israel's supporters to help her, physically, to end this Islamic jihad terror against her.

The time to say enough of Arab terror is now.

The time has come for Israel to turn out the lights in Gaza. There needs to be harsh consequences and repercussions.

Should Israel fail to punish such an eventuality, it will have no one other than itself to blame for whatever misery comes its way from the "Palestinian nation," as is the case now.
After all, Israel was the one who conceded to these Arabs their nationhood.
