America Loves Betty White

The geriatric Golden Girl scored an 86 percent favorable opinion in the Reuters/Ispos poll, beating out the likes of Denzel Washington, Sandra Bullock and Clint Eastwood.

Betty White has been on quite a streak the last couple of years. After the loveable comic starred in a commercial for Snickers candy bar about two years ago, America rediscovered her and the job offers and commendations just poured in.

Betty is so trustworthy that I would buy and use any product she endorses; I just hope she doesn't become a spokesperson for a company that sells pantyhose.

A corporation that hires Betty to endorse their products doesn't have to worry that the beloved actress has any skeletons in her closet. I don't think Betty will have to enter rehab for sex or drug addiction.

I've loved Betty since her "Golden Girls" years, and I couldn't be more delighted that young people have recognized her charm and talent.
