On Saturday, August 20, 2011, arborists from Autumn Tree, a SavATree Company, will host an "Ask An Arborist" booth and guided garden walk at the Chicago Botanic Garden. Between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., ISA Board-Certified Master Arborist Mike Provost and ISA Certified Arborist Troy Williams will be on-hand to answer tree care questions posed by the Garden's visitors. At 1:00 p.m., Autumn - SavATree District Manager, Dan Klindera, will host a walking tour that features the Garden's most notable tree specimens.

Both the "Ask An Arborist" booth and guided garden walk are components of Autumn - SavATree's role as the Principal Tree Health Care Sponsor of the Chicago Botanic Garden. Established in 2004, this education-oriented sponsorship in the area of woody plant care provides numerous opportunities for Autumn - SavATree to share information with the Chicago Botanic Garden and the public. In addition to the coming weekend's activities, Autumn - SavATree donates arboricultural services, assists with ecological initiatives, presents volunteer and staff training sessions, and participates in pest monitoring programs at the Chicago Botanic Garden

The partnership between the Chicago Botanic Garden and Autumn - SavATree emphasizes the organizations' shared mission of botanical appreciation, stewardship, and education. According to Dan Klindera, District Manager at Autumn - SavATree, "the current relationship between Autumn Tree and the Chicago Botanic Garden affirms the long-standing mutual respect of our organizations."

The mission of the Chicago Botanic Garden is to promote the enjoyment, understanding, and conservation of plants and the natural world. The 385-acre Garden features 24 display gardens and four natural areas, uniquely situated on nine islands surrounded by lakes. The Chicago Botanic Garden, with its world-renowned plant collections and displays, is one of the country's most visited public gardens and a preeminent center for learning and scientific research.
