PGA TOUR Pros Rickie Fowler and Cameron Tringale Played the Game of Red Bull P.A.R. in Atlanta Leading into the PGA Championship

ATLANTA, Aug. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Following his second place finish at the Bridgestone Invitational, Rickie Fowler challenged fellow pro, roommate and three-time All-American from Georgia Tech, Cameron Tringale to a game of Red Bull P.A.R, an urban golf shootout to find out who has the better repertoire of inventive shots. Similar to the basketball game H.O.R.S.E., the two attempted creative chip shots in the urban fairway of midtown Atlanta. Yesterday, the duo hit a chip shot out of STRIP Steak & Sushi in Atlantic Station then headed over to the Millennium Gate where 17th Street traffic came to a halt as they hit a blind shot over the 100 foot monument and capped off the game with a shot over the pond to putt on the "green" median of the busy street.

CONCRETE GREEN

The showing of skills and rivalry was won by Fowler. For the prize, Tringale will do Rickie's laundry and dishes at their house for a month. "Luckily my mom taught me well," explains Cam. "I've been doing my own laundry for quite a few years now. It won't be too bad and hopefully as much as we're both gone there won't be a lot to clean up."

However, after today both Rickie and Cameron will take to the real green in preparation for this week's fourth and final Major competition. "I'm really looking forward to this week," say Rickie. "I've been playing well, my game looks really good and I'm looking forward to playing at the PGA Championship here in Atlanta."

ABOUT THE PROS

Turning pro at just 20 years old, Rickie Fowler has already gained PGA TOUR stardom with a Rookie of the Year award in 2010 and a Top-5 finish in his last Major appearance (The Open Championship). He currently ranks 24th in the 2011 PGA TOUR money standings.

A three-time All-American at Georgia Tech, Cameron Tringale is no stranger to playing golf on Atlanta turf. Tringale has four Top-10 finishes already in 2011, including a T4 finish at the Greenbrier Classic and a T5 finish at the Valero Texas Open.
