Gale Technologies Achieves Strong Momentum in 2011
SANTA CLARA, Calif. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Gale Technologies, a leading provider of infrastructure
automation software solutions that power IT as a Service for labs,
enterprises, and service providers, is having a very successful year
with the release of the GaleForce Turnkey Cloud and new resource
adapters, expansion of its executive team, the growth of its reseller
partner channel, and growing awards recognition. Gale Technologies has
innovated many sought-after features in the cloud and provided them to
their customers, giving them the benefit of being able to quickly and
reliably build private and hybrid clouds out of their existing physical
and virtual resources.
"We are thrilled with the results we have achieved thus far in 2011.
Gale Technologies has built sustained traction among customers and
partners, thanks to our new products, executive hires, and award wins,"
said Nariman Teymourian, chief executive officer of Gale Technologies.
"As the year continues we are committed to continuing our cloud
technology development to provide users with the most versatile, easily
manageable, value-creating solutions. We look forward to the next four
months and furthering our position in the cloud sector."
The GaleForce Turnkey Cloud and New Resource Adapters
Gale Technologies launched the GaleForce
Turnkey Cloud in March. The GaleForce Turnkey Cloud allows customers
to convert their existing IT infrastructure into a private or hybrid
cloud environment in just two steps and as little as two weeks.
Additionally, Gale announced the availability of nine new automation Resource
Adapters (RAs) that will allow multiple new products from NetApp,
HP, Dell, and Cisco to be seamlessly integrated into a cloud built using
GaleForce software, the company's flagship
product. Most recently, Gale announced additional new or upgraded
Resource Adapters for Cisco UCS servers, Nexus networking, and ASA
security, as well as for VMware and Citrix virtualization, and IBM
servers. These adapters build on an already extensive library of over
130 resource adapters that manage and provision thousands of compute,
network, security, and storage devices.
Partners
Accelerating its momentum with channel partners, Gale Technologies has
signed joint selling agreements with BEAR Data Solutions and Integrated
Archive Systems to deliver infrastructure automation solutions and
services.
Executive Hires
Adding to its already accomplished executive team, Gale Technologies
appointed 16-year technology veteran James Thomason as chief architect.
Thomason was most recently CTO and founder of Virtiv, where he was
instrumental in acquiring the infrastructure and writing the software,
and was previously operations architect with Ning, the world's largest
platform for creating social websites. Avinash Agrawal was named vice
president of engineering, and he will focus directly on the success of
upcoming technology with the company. An accomplished, hands-on leader,
Agrawal was most recently director of Open Innovation at the SETI
Institute, and was previously a long-term senior technology executive at
Sun Microsystems.
