SME Announces Winner of the $25,000 Surf Video Contest at the US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, CA

Action Sports veteran announcer Dave Duncan and Tom Morin announced the hometown hero Ryan Carlson the winner at 10:30pm and by 10:45pm the streets of Huntington Beach were alive with the news that a local had won the prestigious contest.

"I was so stoked to win this I hardly know what to say," Carlson admitted. "I worked really hard to produce this part and I feel like I contributed all of my "A" material, so I'm really proud of the piece. I'm so thankful and grateful to my sponsors, family, my fiance and my whole support system."
