Universal American Approved for New Medicare Advantage Sales
RYE BROOK, N.Y. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Universal American Corp. (NYSE: UAM) announced today that the Centers
for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has lifted its enrollment and
marketing sanctions for Universal American's Medicare Advantage (MA)
plans, effective immediately.
Richard Barasch, Chairman and CEO of Universal American, stated, "We

made significant improvements to strengthen our sales oversight and our

Universal American will resume accepting enrollment from eligible
Medicare beneficiaries, with effective dates beginning September 1, 2011.
