Creative Oklahoma Announces Oklahoma Creativity Forum
OKLAHOMA CITY, Aug. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Creative Oklahoma announces the first annual Oklahoma Creativity Forum that will take place in Norman, Oklahoma at the Embassy Suites Conference Center on November 1, 2011.

Last November Creative Oklahoma hosted the 2010 Creativity World Forum, an annual event of the International Districts of Creativity, in Oklahoma City. The event attracted more than 2600 attendees from 38 states and 18 countries making it the largest Creativity World Forum ever. The resounding response from Oklahomans attending the Creativity World Forum was for Oklahoma to have its own annual creativity event.
The Oklahoma Creativity Forum will challenge Oklahoma's perception of creativity & innovation in education, commerce & culture. The Forum will inspire attendees to use their imagination to create and innovate in everyday life. There will be approximately 1,000 attendees from across the state and region including policymakers, students, entrepreneurs, innovators, business leaders, educators, technology experts and more.
Featured speakers include: Co-founder and Co-CEO of Whole Foods Market, John Mackey; Scientist, artist and author, BulentAtalay; Author, speaker, entrepreneur and innovation consultant, Gregg Fraley; Education expert and Regents Professor of Psychology and Education at Oklahoma State University, Robert J. Sternberg, Entrepreneur and CEO of QuiBids, Matt Beckham; and physician, and inventor, Dr. David E. Albert. More speakers are to be announced.
The day will include collaborations with the arts community, local entrepreneurs, businesses and educational institutions. The exhibit hall will feature over 50 creative and innovative businesses and organizations.
The State of Creativity Awards Gala will occur on November 3, 2011 as a fundraiser, chance to celebrate Creative Oklahoma's Creativity Ambassadors and award students, entrepreneurs, and innovators. With help from SandRidge Energy and Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores over $25,000 in awards and grants will be given. Applications and deadlines are available on the Creative Oklahoma website.
Early bird registration rates are available until September 16, 2011. Student discounts are also offered.
