Catholic Charities / Aetna Golf Classic Raises $130,000
HARTFORD, Conn. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - By all accounts, the 2011 Catholic Charities / Aetna Golf Classic was a
"birdie" nearly doubling over last year the funds raised to support
people in need throughout Fairfield County.
More than 100 golfers and guests participated in the event, which was
held June 13 at the Shorehaven Club in Norwalk and staffed by volunteers
from Catholic Charities and Aetna (NYSE: AET).
"Aetna was proud to be the title sponsor of this golf event for the
sixth consecutive year, and we are extending our commitment to next year
as well," said Brad Morse, Aetna vice president of sales and service for
New England. "We are proud to team up with Catholic Charities in support
of its great programs in Fairfield County, including their network of
soup kitchens and food pantries and the Room To Grow preschool."
