Widen Takes On Nine New Digital Asset Management Clients in Q2 2011
MADISON, Wis. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Widen Enterprises, a Madison, Wisconsin-based digital asset management
software and premedia services company, announced today its service
commitment to nine new customers signed during the second quarter of
2011. Those nine dynamic organizations chose Widen's Web-based solutions
for digital asset management (DAM) to better manage digital assets,
fortify relationships with assets' end users, and effectively achieve
cross-platform brand consistency.
Among the companies adopting Widen's DAM system is IMC2, a
full-service branding agency that will use the SaaS product to manage
assets related to the campaigns of some of the most recognizable brands
in the world.
"At Widen, we know what it takes to manage valuable assets associated
with disparate brands. That is, after all, why we built the software in
the first place: to manage assets our premedia people were producing for
dozens of clients," said Widen CEO Matthew Gonnering. "We use this
ourselves, so we're beyond confident that IMC2, along with
all our other clients, will find our systems are up to the task of
making their workflows more efficient, more effective and more
profitable."
Other new Widen clients include:
Mercury Marine - A member of the Brunswick Corporation, Mercury
is the leader in marine propulsion and technology, with over 4,000
dealers in the United States.
The Presidio Trust - This organization's mission is to preserve
and enhance the Presidio, a historic location in San Francisco that has
been a Spanish, Mexican and United States military site. The Presidio is
a National Historic Landmark District.
In addition, Widen systems were adopted by a global electronic payment
technology leader; one of the largest and most respected direct
marketing firms in the world specializing in beauty, wellness and
entertainment consumer products; a global investment management firm; a
nonprofit health care center in Pennsylvania; a national manufacturer
and distributor of building products, and a leading developer of medical
technologies distributed in over 100 countries for the treatment of
cardiac, neurological and chronic pain patients.
"It's fitting that Mercury Marine join us in this new crop of Widen DAM
users," said Craig Bollig, Widen Sales and Marketing representative.
"Our clients and others in the industry know Widen for performance-and
not many things say 'performance' quite like a Mercury Marine 300
horsepower boat engine."
These new Widen clients stand to benefit from the excellent service and
market-leading DAM solutions that have streamlined workflows for over
140 other organizations.
"Widen has helped the Wildlife Conservation Society organize our large
wildlife photography collection for both archival and distribution
purposes. Upload and distribution is seamless and worry free," said Ben
Barry, Public Affairs Office Manager at the Wildlife Conservation
Society. The WCS has been using Widen DAM for over a year.
The Media Collective, Widen's hosted DAM system, is now in version 5.7
and supports workflows for over 150 diverse customers. The Media
Collective's scalability allows organizations of all sizes to support
their user groups with a centralized digital media library and marketing
resources for improved performance. The current release of Version 5.7
of the DAM system features a newly revamped graphical user interface,
which further streamlines processes and facilitates collaboration on
core tasks within DAM.
Widen also recently launched a revamped version of
DigitalAssetManagement.com, an educational resource site. The site is a
valuable reference for digital asset management professionals
researching and justifying DAM at all levels.
Based in Madison, Wisconsin, Widen has honed its more than 60 years of
experience in premedia services and color management specifically for
assisting customers with building brand equity and supporting consistent
brand representation across print and Web communications. Through its
inventive suite of Web-based digital asset management applications,
Widen software services provide marketing networks with real-time,
Web-based access to clients' digital asset libraries, subsequently
eliminating manual search and file preparation time, costs related to
