Holidays 4U Collapses, Travelmatch Still Offering Turkey Holidays

LONDON, August 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --

- Travel company Holidays 4U has stopped trading and has cancelled all of its services; travelmatch.co.uk advises any of Holidays 4U's customers who have bookings with the collapsed firm to consult the CAA for more information -

Today the CAA has announced the failure of holiday firm Holidays 4U, which has now entered administration. This has caused the company to stop trading and cancel all of its flights and services. The company sold charter flights and package holidays to Marmaris [http://www.travelmatch.co.uk/holidays/marmaris-holidays.html ], Bodrum and other Turkish destinations. Travelmatch, which only partners with organisations fully protected by ABTA membership, is urging any customers who have pending flights or package holidays with Holidays 4U to consult the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for up to date information.

Presently the CAA is advising UK customers who have yet to depart to stay at home and speak to their travel agents about making a claim. The organisation is working to ensure that customers already abroad on packages protected under Holiday 4U's ATOL scheme can stay in their accommodation and return home in line with their scheduled dates. Travelmatch strongly advises any affected customers to consult this webpage [http://www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?catid=27&pagetype=90&pageid=12372 ] for more detailed information. People wishing to speak to someone on the phone should call the CAA call centre at 0844 4933 037; those already in resort can call +441614445810.

Travelmatch say that the ATOL status of Holidays 4U [http://www.travelmatch.co.uk/holidays/holidays-4-u.html ] should allow most customers to either receive full refunds or, if they have already departed, finish their holiday without any undue disruption.

A Travelmatch spokesperson comments: "It is a great shame to see this company go under, especially as reports indicate that there are over 12,000 people currently abroad on their packages and flights. Any people affected by this should consult the CAA's website. People interested in booking all inclusive holidays in 2012 [http://www.travelmatch.co.uk/holidays/all-inclusive-holidays-2012.html ] to Turkey should use our travel discovery engine to search for packages with our many other partners, all of whom are fully protected by ABTA membership."
