Lansinoh Laboratories, Inc. Launches OnCloudMomTM

This new blog will give parents a place to find answers to many of their questions through each of their child's developmental phases, from pregnancy through toddlerhood, while keeping a dedicated focus on breastfeeding resources for moms. The OnCloudMom^TM blog community will give moms support as they prepare for life with an infant, provide the tools to tackle the first weeks of mothering, teach them how to promote their babies' healthy development, and provide a place to immerse themselves in all things mom.

"We first launched our blog in 2008 to share our expertise and personal experiences in breastfeeding while having the opportunity to engage and help women in an accessible online space, and we've been overjoyed by the response," says Gina Ciagne, CLC and Senior Director of Breastfeeding Relations at Lansinoh Laboratories, Inc. "Since then it's grown to be a core communication vehicle for our company and has extended to reach moms on Twitter and Facebook. Over the years, the scope of our blogging has reached beyond moms' breastfeeding days. In just the past few months we've produced a podcast about the choices moms have for maternity care, reported on new research about the best time to introduce solids, posted fitness tips for pregnant women, and shared the important infant-safety news that drop-side cribs had been banned. We are extremely dedicated to sharing more of this type of information with the launch of OnCloudMom."

Just in time for BlogHer 2011 Conference in San Diego August 4-6, OnCloudMom^TM bloggers will be chatting with our fellow blogging moms from the Lansinoh Lactation Lounge in room 7B. Attendees are invited to share their parenting tips, feed their babies, breast pump, store their milk, chat with Certified Lactation Counselor, Gina Ciagne, and experience all OnCloudMom^TM has to offer with live demos of the new site.

OnCloudMom^TM will continue to feature articles by and interviews with physicians and researchers who specialize in lactation. In addition, it will cover pediatrics, pregnancy, and child development; the latest news and research relevant to pregnant women and moms of babies and toddlers; and contributions from moms who are going through the most common, and the most unique, new-parent challenges. As OnCloudMom^TM enters the world, some initial posts include:

• Is all breastmilk created equal? New call for research on difference between breast pumping and breastfeeding
