ten24 Web Solutions Launches Slatwall, an Open Source E-Commerce Platform

ten24 Web Solutions, a web strategy, development and design firm, has launched Slatwall, www.getslatwall.com, a powerful and flexible e-commerce platform that is available as a free plugin for the Mura Content Management System (CMS).

Slatwall development has been led by Sumit Verma, partner at ten24, with key contributions from Greg Moser, lead web developer at Nytro Multisport. Mr. Moser began working on a predecessor to Slatwall back in 2009 to solve issues managing products on the web through Nytro's POS system. "With the help of Sumit and the team at ten24, we have taken the extra time to flush out the hundreds of business models and features required to create a versatile, enterprise level system," stated Mr. Moser.

Slatwall provides retailers with critical e-commerce features including Shopping Cart, Order Fulfillment, Promotions, Reporting, Inventory and third-party integration within a flexible, user-friendly platform.

According to Sumit Verma, "I have been developing custom e-commerce solutions for over a decade now and have debated the buy versus build discussion with clients many times. I strongly believe that business requirements should drive the solution not technology. Slatwall and Mura CMS give developers the flexibility to provide a custom solution within a strong framework." Sumit will be presenting Slatwall at the MuraCon, the first Mura CMS User Conference in Sacramento, CA August 25-26, 2011.

Slatwall is an open source application, available for download at www.getslatwall.com and is fully supported by ten24 Web Solutions. ten24 recently launched Shirtvana, www.shirtvana.com, using Slatwall and Mura CMS. Shirtvana allows shoppers to create and buy their own custom-made, fine men's dress shirts.
