WARMINSTER, Pa., Aug. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- CRC Industries, Inc., a chemical specialties manufacturer for maintenance and repair professionals and do-it-yourselfers in the automotive, marine, heavy trucking, electrical, industrial and hardware markets, has introduced CRC MOTOR TREATMENT, a fuel and oil additive that delivers a complete carbon clean-out for dramatically improved engine performance.

Carbon, a byproduct of combustion, is typically expelled through the exhaust system, but can also collect on built-up gum and varnish residue in the engine. Carbon deposits can harden on intake valves, piston heads, cylinder walls and injectors leading to decreased MPG, hesitation, detonation (knock), pre-ignition, stalling, loss of power and excess emissions. Carbon deposits in the engine are a serious problem.

When added to fuel, CRC MOTOR TREATMENT cleans fuel injectors, carburetor jets, intake valves and pistons. It also lubricates upper cylinders, cures hesitation and pings and restores power and pick-up. "For a more aggressive fuel system cleaning," says Julie Williams, Marketing Manager for CRC, "MOTOR TREATMENT can be added directly into the combustion chamber through a vacuum line." MOTOR TREATMENT removes moisture from gasoline, diesel or ethanol-blended fuels and works in all 2-cycle, 4-cycle and rotary engines. To combat the drying effect of ethanol in fuel, CRC MOTOR TREATMENT is formulated with SYN-GO® Technology which leaves behind a synthetic lubricant for added protection and lubricates the upper cylinders.

Over time, prolonged idle, stop-and-go driving, dirt, moisture and extreme operating temperatures can cause sludge build-up in motor oil leading to power and performance loss. When added to oil, CRC MOTOR TREATMENT liquefies built-up gum and varnish and releases carbon deposits, cleaning sticky valve lifters, piston rings and PCV systems slowly, during vehicle operation, to prevent chunks of sludge from clogging oil flow. Williams recommends adding the product to the oil prior to a regular oil change. "This product is an excellent pre-oil change clean-up. In addition to treating your fuel system, MOTOR TREATMENT should be added to your crankcase about 50 miles before your next scheduled lube, oil and filter service."

CRC MOTOR TREATMENT is available through automotive wholesale distributors and retailers.
