Skagit Public Utility District, Washington Selects NorthStar Utilities Solutions' ERP Enterprise

Ottawa, Canada, August 02, 2011 --(PR.com)-- NorthStar Utilities Solutions, a division of Harris Computer Systems, is pleased to announce that the Skagit Public Utility District #1 has chosen NorthStar Utilities Solutions' ERP Enterprise as its Utility Billing, Financial, and Asset Management solution.

The Skagit Public Utility District (PUD) operates the most expansive water system in Skagit County, WA, with 25,087 metered services, serving approximately 70,000 people an average of nine million gallons of water per day. With over 70 employees, Skagit PUD has a reputation of being very progressive in its business processes, and has won numerous awards for resource stewardship and water quality.

Skagit PUD conducted a thorough review of Enterprise solutions during a multi-year selection process, considering all of the major vendors in the mid-tier utility marketplace.

As a core component of Skagit PUD's IT/Service infrastructure, NorthStar Enterprise will provide the final link to the integration of the utility's key applications.
