NEW YORK, Aug. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Georgia employers are taking advantage of The GA Intern Network (GAIN) to access the state's emerging talent. This collaborative effort among Georgia University System schools provides a centralized location for employers to post internships for FREE to students from participating schools. The website is managed by the University System Committee for Cooperative Education and Career Services (USC-CACE) and is powered by College Central Network, Inc. (CCN).

The www.CollegeCentral.com/gain website makes it easy and cost-effective for all Georgia employers--small and large, public and private--to directly target their internship postings to the candidates they want. Employers posting internships today can already reach the following colleges and universities for free: Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College; Albany State University; Augusta State University; Clayton State University; Columbus State University; Dalton State College; Georgia Southern University; Georgia College; Kennesaw State University; Savannah State University; Southern Polytechnic State University and the University of West Georgia.

Mary Roberts, Director of The University Career Center at Georgia College, Georgia's Public Liberal Arts University, stated, "By participating in GAIN, employers are able to minimize the time required to tap into one of Georgia's most important resource--our emerging talent. With just one internship posting, and at no cost, employers can reach students at multiple Georgia colleges and universities, saving themselves time and money." She added, "Georgia's employers want to hire home-grown talent. G.A.I.N. connects students in Georgia with internship and co-op opportunities. It's really as simple as that."

College Central Network's Career Services Central(SM) is the exclusive online career office management solution for G.A.I.N. According to Donna Brumfield, CCN's College Relations Manager for Georgia, "The GA Internship Network provides students with access to internships shared among colleges and universities throughout the state, and employers can't beat the price. It's a win/win for all parties involved. G.A.I.N. is off to a great start, and we invite all employers in Georgia to participate!"
