LG Mobile & Gameloft Challenge Gamers to Battle it Out in First Ever N.O.V.A 3D Gaming Tournament

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- LG Mobile announced today it is continuing its integrated marketing campaign, "Bring Your World Alive," to promote the upcoming launch of LG Thrill 4G(TM), an unprecedented superphone available in the coming weeks exclusively from AT&T for $99.99. In a partnership with Gameloft, a leading global publisher of digital and social games, LG will invite consumers to bring their gaming alive in a larger than life 3D Gaming Tournament and spectacle at San Francisco's Ferry Building Marketplace on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011.

LG's "Your Gaming Comes Alive" leg of the campaign kicked off with a series of Facebook banners promoting a consumer sweepstakes that invited gamers to win a trip to San Francisco to compete in the world's first N.O.V.A 3D Gaming Tournament. Teams of gamers and sweepstakes winners will use LG Thrill 4G - the only smartphone in the U.S. to feature a 1 GHz dual-core, dual-channel, dual-memory - as they battle it out in Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance (N.O.V.A.) 3D, one of Gameloft's most popular properties. After multiple preliminary battles, top scorers will go head-to-head for the chance to be crowned the N.O.V.A. Intergalactic Gaming Champion and win more than $10,000 worth of LG products.

Alongside the competition, the action of N.O.V.A. will visually come alive with a spectacular 3D mapping projection on the prominent Ferry Building for all onlookers to enjoy.

Following the 3D Summit, LG hosted the "World' First 3D User-Generated Concert" with Jane's Addiction where more than 100 ticket-holders captured 3D video of the event using LG Thrill 4G devices.
