Award-Winning Writer Carol O'dell Teaches Online Marketing to Authors
On August 20, 2011, at 10:15 a.m. in the SJC Main Library, award-winning non-fiction author Carol O'Dell will present a powerful workshop to the Ancient City Chapter-Florida Writers Association meeting. The program is geared to teach writers how to build their online presence to be competitive in book sales and personal marketing.
It isn't enough to have a website. Writers can tap into a vibrant readership and powerful online community by knowing how to effectively use social and web-based media outlets. O'Dell will share strategies for connecting with readers and maximizing the on line effort in just 30 minutes a day. What to do before, during and after your book's release, how to impress agents and publishers, and how to build a powerful and loyal online reading community.
Carol is a Jacksonville University graduate, a creative writing teacher, and an inspirational speaker. Her blog is read by thousands monthly and she's been featured on CNN.com, Fox television and many radio and television programs.

This program is being presented in partnership with the Friends of the Main Library, SJC, and the Ancient City Chapter-Florida Writers Association. The book sale and author signing that will follow the program will benefit the Friends of the Main Library, SJC.
