Katherine Laws Joins Alliant Healthcare Solutions in Dallas as Vice President, Client Advocacy

With More Than 20 Years of Healthcare-Specific Legal Experience, Laws Will Be Responsible for a Wide Range of Client Advocacy Services

Alliant Insurance Services (www.alliantinsurance.com), the nation's largest specialty insurance brokerage firm, has announced that Katherine Laws has joined its national healthcare practice, Alliant Healthcare Solutions, as Vice President, Client Advocacy and will assist healthcare clients nationwide by providing a wide range of advocacy services, including coverage analysis, complex claims evaluation and negotiation, and enterprise risk management (ERM) analysis.

Laws, who will be based in Alliant's Dallas office, has been a practicing attorney specializing in healthcare law for more than 20 years. She joins Alliant from the Rockwall, TX-based law firm of Steed Flagg Lamberth, LLP, where she was a partner representing hospitals and physicians in defense of medical malpractice lawsuits, with an emphasis on catastrophic injury and death cases.

Prior to Steed Flagg Lamberth, Laws was Director of Litigation Services for Texas Health Resources, an Arlington, TX-based non-profit healthcare delivery system comprised of acute-care and short-stay hospitals.

Laws earned her Juris Doctorate in 1991 from Baylor University School of Law. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in political science with an emphasis in communication from the University of Oregon.
