Fandango Launches Windows 7 Slate App and Slate Giveaway Sweepstakes

The new Fandango Windows Slate application will enrich the movie-going experience by allowing fans to view movie trailers, read critic and consumer reviews, search for show times by either movie title or ZIP Code and purchase tickets instantly. Utilizing Bing Maps, the Windows Slate application is location-aware, so it will find the nearest show times and display the locations of theaters on Bing Maps when film fans are on the road. After viewing the selected show times, fans can then access the Windows Slate application to tell other film fans what they thought of the movie, helping create and share their opinions via word-of-mouth.
