Checklist:
This year Target is offering a new tool to help guests organize and
personalize back-to-college shopping with the "Checklist." This new
interactive tool helps guests stay focused and on budget while
shopping for popular back-to-college items like Room
Essentials XL twin sheets, and the Emerson
blackboard fridge. Guests simply select items from Target.com to
add to their personalized "Checklist" for easy shopping. The
"Checklist" can be printed at home or from a Target kiosk in store.
Ideal for the social college student, the "Checklist" can also be
shared via Facebook or sent to a mobile device.
-
1,000 Likes: On more than 65 college
Facebook pages and on Target.com/college, guests can find even more
deals from Target for the college season. Target's "1,000 Likes"
promotion will be available every Monday through Friday, Aug. 4 - 31,
and can save guests between 40 and 50 percent on must-have items. The
first 1,000 guests to "Like" the deal will receive a mobile coupon for
the item to be redeemed at Target stores.
-
U Care Cards: The college care package is
something every student likes receiving. Beginning in September,
Target takes the care package digital with "U Care Cards" available at Target.com/college.
Students can create their own care package wish list with anything
from paper towels to an Xbox Kinect, and make their wish list public
on their Facebook page or through a personalized email. Friends and
family can then make their favorite student's day by sending a "U Care
Card" that the student can use to put towards the purchase of items on
their wish list, in stores or online.
-
Target After-Hours Busing Events: For the
tenth consecutive year, Target will host private after-hours shopping
events for incoming freshmen at 66 colleges and universities.
Throughout August and September, Target will bus freshmen students to
a private shopping event at their local Target store where they will
be treated to an evening of entertainment and exclusive offers.
Back To School
To start the school year in style, Target offers a wide assortment of
unique must-have items, including Trans
by Jansport Argyle Backpacks, Paul Frank for Target customizable
stationery and apparel from Disney's
D-Signed collection.

REDCard and Take Charge of Education:
Guests will save 5 percent on nearly all purchases at Target by
shopping with their REDCard. Additionally, with the Take Charge of
Education school fundraising initiative, guests who shop with a Target
REDCard can designate a K-12 school of their choice and Target will
make a donation directly to the school. These undesignated funds can
be used for whatever schools need most, from books and school supplies
to classroom technology and enrichment programs.
