MIAMI - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Venevision Mobile launches its most challenging mobile game application to date: KING BANDIDO, an apprentice swordsman frantically training to become a hero and save the day for users of the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.

" 'King Bandido' is our first game that supports virtual goods, allowing the player to unlock a new play mode to elevate the degree of difficulty and enhance their playing experience," boasted Rafael Garcia, head of Venevision Mobile, a pioneer in the creation of mobile game applications for the U.S. Hispanic market.

Set in the Spanish colonial era, a small town is oppressed by a vicious ruler and the humble residents are in desperately need of a hero. Young Alejandro is eager to liberate his hometown from tyranny and be their KING BANDIDO, but does he have the wit and skill to defeat the evil monarch? After rescuing Alejandro from an attack by the royal guards, the Count of Alhambra takes Alejandro under his wing and prepares him for battle, training him in art of swordsmanship.

With the free download of KING BANDIDO, players assist Alejandro in mastering the sword, testing their precision in the Arcade Mode of the game, accumulating points for hitting their mark and obtaining special powers to stop time and cut through the armor of dummy soldiers. Users help transform Alejandro into KING BANDIDO – to be quick as a ninja and precise with his sword as the most skilled musketeer. To test their stamina and accuracy, players can unlock the game's Marathon Mode - for a minimal fee of 99 cents - where they will battle hordes of enemy soldiers; but they must beware, there are innocent civilians among them.

KING BANDIDO complements Venevision Mobile's ever-growing catalog of mobile game applications including CHUPACABRA, JOSE COMES TO USA, and MISTER MIGUEL'S, which will soon be available for Android; as well as the Apps FUTBOLERO and NOVELERA, which are available for both platforms.

Venevision Mobile, a business unit of Venevision International, is constantly expanding the horizons of the Apps market and continuously developing exciting and innovative mobile game applications. And their latest App, KING BANDIDO, is eager to make his mark and take a slice out of the game applications market.
