Thermal Star(R) Personal Cooling System Fights Heat Stress

Electric Fan Engineering has released its Thermal Star® Personal Cooling System, its new portable personal cooling system. The patent pending Thermal Star® Personal Cooling System will provide cooling relief for people who are exposed to high environmental temperatures or seek relief from an elevated body temperature. The unique portable cooling system contains a small battery-operated fan that is connected to a series of discharge tubes that circulate air against the body, neck or head. As the air evaporates the body's moisture from perspiration, the Thermal Star® Personal Cooling System creates a cooling effect that keeps body temperature at a safe level, improving alertness, performance and concentration. Military proven in combat situations for effectiveness and reliability, the original Thermal Star® Personal Cooling System, pioneered and developed by Electric Fan Engineering was designed to keep armored vehicle crew personnel cool in desert environments where temperatures could reach 160 degrees F.

Historically, heat-related injuries are significant threats to the operational effectiveness of both workplace and military personnel. Every year more than 50,000 people nationwide visit emergency rooms for heat-stress-related injuries, including more than 500 fatalities. The Thermal Star® Personal Cooling System could be the perfect complement for responsible practices to avoid heat-related challenges including heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke. While precautions such as proper hydration, limited physical activity in hot and humid weather, and avoiding caffeinated and alcoholic beverages are vital to heat health safety, new and improved technology like the Thermal Star® Personal Cooling System may reduce costly health, safety and life threatening concerns over heat stress and fatigue.

The Thermal Star® Personal Cooling System may be worn directly against the body, over clothing, or inside motorsport or HAZMAT protective garments. It may also be used as an alternative to conventional cooling devices such as air conditioning, when such conveniences are unavailable. Applications for the Thermal Star® Personal Cooling System include the military, construction workers, law enforcement, HAZMAT personnel, industrial workers, first responders, the disabled, welders, farmers, miners, medical patients, motorsport drivers, fire fighters, and many more. The Thermal Star® Personal Cooling System can be purchased directly from Electric Fan Engineering.
