South Jordan Mormons Welcome Hindu Statesman Rajan Zed
In a remarkable interfaith gesture, Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, who delivered invocations at four city councils of Utah from 5th-7th of July, visited the Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) in South Jordan (Utah) on an invitation on 6th of July.
Zed was welcomed at the Temple by Temple President Alan S. Layton and Matron Leslie Layton. President Layton explained the general functioning of the Temple to Zed in his office and Zed presented him a copy of ancient Hindu scripture Bhagavad-Gita. Both then discussed various interfaith issues.
Rajan Zed stressed that all religions should work together for a just and peaceful world. Dialogue will bring mutual enrichment.
