Look Up - Mid-Priced Clients Want High Priced Amenities
Winter Park, FL, July 10, 2011 --(PR.com)-- There is a lot going on at the High End of the residential market according to Beasley & Henley Interior Design, Principals Troy Beasley and Stephanie Henley.
Despite a recession and customers holding tight to their wallets, there has been a resurgence of interesting products on the high-end.
Smart toilets
Designer tubs
Wave walls
Wooden sinks
Custom Showers
Ethanol fireplaces
Decorative appliances
...are just a few.
The relevance of this to builders of all price points is that products at the high end will eventually be re-tooled to a more affordable product that will trickle down to all levels.
If a mid-range builder wants to know the latest in design trends they have to “look up” because eventually their clients will be asking for the same thing.
For example, techy toilets are big in Japan and Nana walls are de rigueur for the high end consumer, but they are still too pricy for the mid-priced American homeowner, for now. As consumers see these products through a range of experiences such as magazines, TV and the internet, they will soon be looking for them at their home builder's design center.
Troy Beasley and Stephanie Henley, will present this phenomenon and details on the products, in a seminar at the July 21, 2011 Southeast Builders Conference in Orlando. This seminar will showcase products that are both popular and expensive, but that will be soon coming down in price.
