The photographic artwork of Jason Dowd, International Exhibiting Artist that captures everything from beauty to the macabre, and brings dreams and nightmares to life will be on display at Rudolph's Gallery in Tarpon Springs in a show featuring his work. The show is July 23rd from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.
This is a private art show featuring Dowd's work but it's an open invitation for all that want to come celebrate and join the festivities. Dowd's looking forward to celebrating with everyone.
The featured series "Dreams, Nightmares, Fears and Fantasy" started with Dowd portraying some of his craziest nightmares and bringing to life an inspirational dream. This series has grown into a dream come true for Dowd with this show.
"I've always dreamed of having my own art show, I can't believe that dream has come true. My work is all about bringing your dreams to life, and now my series has done that for me, only it's not on photo paper!" Dowd says and adds " I can't thank the models enough who played the parts to perfection, this would not be happening without you. I want to thank my family and friends who stood by me and encouraged me to keep going, and Rudolph's Gallery who gave me this amazing opportunity".
Dowd has quite a day planned for this event. He has asked his models to come dressed in a costume they wore for any one of the shoots they were featured in. Possible models on hand for the event will be Katie Marcotte (Death to Yesterday and others), Tania Marrero (Bette Davis & Bad Baby Gangster), Charlene Amis (Angel vs. Demon) and her brother Brian Amis (Angel vs. Demon), Faythe Monbleau (Trapped but not Dead, Fairies and more), Randa Pusateri (Shock of Death, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil, See No Evil).
There will be food, drinks and live music. Dowd will even give a sneak peek into his controversial "Reality" series. This series is designed to open the eyes of America to the corruption, declining morals and values and disgusting behavior we've accepted as a nation through shock therapy. His goal is to open our eyes to stop the destructive patterns. He promises one new, never before seen picture will be on display from this collection.
"If that isn't enough, he will have a blue screen on hand for anyone that wants to come dressed up, he will take a select number of pictures and create a piece of art featuring you, and mailed to you after the show - But you must come dressed up in a costume!
Over the last two years his work has hung in THAT GALLERY in Hong Kong, China. It was featured on FOX 13's Good Day Tampa Bay, and currently hangs on the walls at Rudolph's Gallery in Tarpon Springs and Cayce's Home Consignment in Land O Lakes.
So come out and talk with Dowd, he will give you an in depth understanding behind his work and help you connect with your "inner weird".
