American Atlantic Company Postpones Its July 8, 2011 Special Meeting of Shareholders to Consider a Newly Received Alternative Merger Proposal

American Atlantic Company (PINKSHEETS: AMRL) (Company) announced today the receipt of a third party acquisition proposal (Acquisition Proposal) for the Company. The Board of Directors (Board) of the Company is evaluating the terms and conditions of the Acquisition Proposal. In light of the Acquisition Proposal and in order to afford the Board an opportunity to consider same, the Company has postponed its Special Meeting of Shareholders of the Company, scheduled for July 8, 2011, to a date and time to be determined and announced by the Board.
