Registration Opens for the 3rd Annual Acumen Solutions Race for a Cause 8K Race to be Held October 16, 2011 in Arlington, VA

VIENNA, Va. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Acumen Solutions, an international leader in business and technology consulting, announced today that it will hold its third annual Acumen Solutions Race for a Cause 8K and 1-Mile Fun Run on Sunday, October 16, 2011 in Arlington, VA. Registration is now open. Two-thousand dollars in combined prizes will be awarded to winners across categories. The race gives all registrants the unique opportunity to choose their charitable preference by picking from the following organizations:

"We love putting on this community event and are pleased to see the momentum grow around this race with each passing year," said David Joubran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Acumen Solutions. "Last year we more than doubled the amount raised for community organizations over the previous year for a total of $81,000 distributed to local non-profits. We also saw sponsors and registrants double. Our goal is to continue this trend. We feel that we are off to a good start with 14 sponsors signed up to date."

ABC7/WJLA-TV and News Channel 8 will be the media sponsors and the event is produced in partnership with Potomac River Running. Sponsoring organizations confirmed to date include:

Time: 8:00 AM

8K Race Fees:
$25 early bird through September 20th
$30 through Packet Pick up October 15th
$35 Race Day

1-Mile Fun Run:
$30 Adult (with 8K race shirt)
$20 Youth (with t-shirt)

The race will be on a fast out-and-back, flat course that begins and ends on North Quincy Street - near the intersection of Wilson Boulevard in Arlington, VA. The event is produced in partnership with Potomac River Running and runners of all levels, as well as walkers, are encouraged to participate.
