Rutgers University Leadership Workshop with Dr. Paul Marciano Scheduled for July 26-27, 2011

"Dr. Marciano is leading the way with new insights on how to increase leadership effectiveness by throwing out the old model of motivation and replacing it with the new model of engagement and respect. Any manager who wants to build a self-sustaining engagement culture will benefit from this workshop," said Dr. Peggy J. Grant, Senior Program Director at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

Topics covered by the workshop include:

• Leading with respect: Explains 20 reasons why traditional reward and recognition programs don't work in today's work culture and how leadership effectiveness depends on respect.
• Engage your team: Describes the difference between engagement and motivation and presents case studies on effective employee engagements.
• Measuring employee engagement: Discusses the problems with current research and how to assess meaningful and effective engagement.
• The RESPECT model: Describes the Marciano-developed RESPECT model and provides turnkey strategies to implement it.

About Dr. Paul Marciano:

Paul Marciano, Ph.D. is an entrepreneur, consultant, speaker and president of Whiteboard, a human relations consulting firm committed to helping organizations cultivate, manage and grow their human potential. Marciano earned his master's and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology at Yale University and has served on the faculties at Davidson College and Princeton University.
