ECCE Version 2 Available from Cimetrix
SALT LAKE CITY - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Cimetrix Incorporated (OTCQB & OTCBB: CMXX) (www.cimetrix.com),
a leading provider of factory
automation and equipment
control software solutions for the global semiconductor,
photovoltaic and electronics industries, announced today the
availability of the Equipment Client Connection Emulator (ECCE) version
2. ECCE
v2 is a fully functional Equipment Data Acquisition (EDA) client that
can communicate with web services that comply with the E125, E132, and
E134 SEMI Interface
A (EDA) standards. ECCE v2 also implements the required consumer web
service for receiving messages from the Interface A web services.
Cimetrix developed ECCE in cooperation with the International SEMATECH
Manufacturing Initiative (ISMI).
ISMI member companies provided feature requirements. ECCE v2 supports
both the 1105 freeze version, as well as the newer 0710 freeze version,
of EDA, and includes an equipment simulator. Using ECCE v2, which
includes an equipment simulator, OEMs can verify the EDA/Interface A
functionality they have implemented complies with ISMI standards.
"Cimetrix is proud to have been chosen by ISMI to develop the new
version of the EDA Client Connection Emulator (ECCE)," said Dave
Faulkner, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Cimetrix.
"As a leader in product development, it is incumbent upon us to design
superior products companies can use for their development processes."
Semiconductor equipment is constantly changing in pursuit of improved
process performance and productivity. The high level of factory
integration and automation in 300mm factories has enabled unprecedented
levels of data-driven decision making.
"With this new freeze version of EDA, we have extended Interface A by
what we have learned over the last five years to make it easier to
implement and provide more features that allow data collection and
analysis," said Sanjay Rajguru, Director of ISMI. "The 0710 freeze
version of Interface A includes the ability to make a simple query to
discover E132-based interfaces, support for Simple Object Access
Protocol (SOAP) 1.2, SECS Mapping to EDA to assist the transition to
Interface A for new users, and easier metadata construction."
For more information regarding freeze version 0710 of EDA/Interface A,

November 2010 e-Workshop and SEMATECH
Document 09055011B-ENG.htm. In addition, ISMI will hold a workshop
on the 0710 freeze version at SEMICON West on July 13, 2011. For more
information about the workshop, visit Equipment
Data Acquisition (EDA) Interface Workshop.
ECCE is available on request to qualifying companies for no charge.
Qualifying companies include ISMI Member Companies, equipment suppliers,
and third party software providers. To request a copy of ECCE, please
