The assignment given Custom Rollforming Corp. by the solar farm contractor, GREEN FUEL Technologies, was to provide a durable racking solution to be used with Scheuten 195 Wp Polycrystalline Modules that would be easy to install, would provide robust panel support, and yet be low-cost. This was accomplished by collaborating with GREEN FUEL Technologies and structural engineers to develop a simple, efficient ground-mount racking system for use in utility-scale solar energy systems. During the design phase, consideration was given not only to manufacturing costs but also to efficient utilization of real estate and to the speed of installation. The result was a money-saving design that can be installed at one of the lowest cost-per-watt factors so far attained in the solar industry.
